This chair questions the hierarchy of “high” and “low” design by juxtaposing elements from both genres in one eclectic piece of furniture. By making the gadda, a commonplace floor seating object, appear to float, the Gadda Floating Chair is a commentary on the history of seating in India, which was reserved for nobility.
